Show + Tell Community Challenge: The Results Are In. And Wow, Did You Deliver!

| 2 min read

One of the best perks of being part of the Pantheon customer community? Getting to participate in challenges that come with some seriously awesome rewards. And our very first one just wrapped up!

The rules: build something cool, tell us how it works, and show us how Pantheon powers it. Not exactly a small ask, and the submissions proved it.

We're thrilled to announce our three winners:

๐Ÿฅ‡ First Place - $500 | Paul Babin, Web Systems Manager at UCLA Health Information Technology

Paul used open source tools to build a bot-fighting dashboard that analyzes Advanced Global CDN logs piped to S3, processed through OpenSearch, visualized in Grafana, and backed by a lightweight database tracking IPs and decisions in real time. The way they turned Pantheon's AGCDN into the backbone of a fully custom security operations tool stopped us in our tracks. Equal parts practical and brilliant.

๐Ÿฅˆ Second Place - $250 | Rob Watson, Owner at Webidextrous.com

Rob built an Advanced Security Header plugin that handles browser security headers entirely at the PHP layer, learns the right Content Security Policy straight from your live production traffic, and automatically keeps up as third-party scripts change. You just install the plugin and let it do its thing. It will alert you when new security violations pop up, allowing admin teams to address violations within minutes with no code changes.

๐Ÿฅ‰ Third Place - $100 | Tyler Shuster, Chief Engineer Five Paths

Tyler brought a custom PHPStorm plugin to life that automatically discovers and configures all your Pantheon environments in one click. No more manually setting up SFTP servers and database connections every time a new Multidev spins up. The kind of "why didn't this exist already" tool that reminded us exactly why we love this community.

To everyone who submitted, thank you! Watching what this community builds never, ever gets old.

Ready for Round Two?

On June 1st, we're launching our next community challenge, and this one comes with a prize we've never offered before.

One winner gets a fully expensed trip to Go-Live, our first-ever annual customer conference, happening October 6โ€“7 in Miami, FL. We're talking airfare, lodging, and your conference ticket. All of it, on us.

Go-Live is going to be something special, and we want you there! To participate, you must be a Pantheon customer and a member of our community. Drop by the #community-challenges channel for details on how to enter.
