Pantheon Debuts Website Management AI Agent to Advance More Efficient, Mission-Driven Digital Operations for the United Nations, in Collaboration with Google Cloud
SAN FRANCISCO and NEW YORK — November 3, 2026 — Pantheon.io, the platform for helping professional teams create, run, and evolve the sites that matter, today announced they have launched a purpose-built Gemini agent developed in collaboration with Google Cloud to help the United Nations (UN) and its constituent agencies and programs make digital operations and communications more efficient, coordinated, and impactful. The agent, which Pantheon debuted at the UN General Assembly in 2026, enables participating agencies to use Gemini to manage their web presence directly.
Pantheon’s collaboration with Google Cloud can help teams apply agentic web management across large, complex digital portfolios, reducing operational overhead while supporting greater consistency, accountability, and mission alignment. By leveraging AI-assisted capabilities of this purpose-built website management agent, organizations can manage content and digital experiences more efficiently, communicate with their audiences more effectively, and advance their missions at scale.
“Google Cloud is our infrastructure partner of choice, a trusted enterprise-ready hyperscaler with a decisive full-stack advantage for AI performance,” said Pantheon’s Co-founder Josh Koenig. “ Gemini offers a first-class end-user experience and turnkey integration with the UN’s existing data sources, with freedom of choice for what models to use. The platform has allowed us to develop an agentic interface to web publishing that works with the UN’s existing CMSs like Drupal and radically simplifies and safeguards the work of building complex web experiences.”
The effort combines Google Cloud’s AI capabilities with Pantheon’s expertise in managing secure, scalable web operations, and governing large portfolios, or “fleets,” of sites. The result is a modern approach that helps the UN organization and agency staff seamlessly and safely create accessible and compliant websites from within their enterprise workspace interface, rather than having to work through IT specialists or be trained to directly operate complex web-publishing software.
Pantheon was featured at Google’s AI for Global Progress: An Innovation Showcase on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at Google Hudson Square in New York, ahead of the 81st United Nations General Assembly. The showcase brought together senior UN delegates, public-sector decision-makers, agency CIOs, and global innovators to explore how applied AI can support more effective operations and measurable impact.
At the event, Pantheon demonstrated this capability for managing and modernizing large web portfolios, including Agentic Fleet Management for open-source frameworks like WordPress, Next.js, and Drupal. They also debuted a Gemini agent that will allow UN organization and agency staff to seamlessly and safely create accessible and compliant websites from within their business collaboration interface, rather than having to work through IT specialists or be trained to directly operate complex web-publishing software.
Pantheon’s approach is designed to make AI practical and safe for enterprise and public-sector use. With appropriate governance, human oversight, and safeguards, teams can use AI to reduce complexity, streamline the path from content creation to publication, and deliver clearer, more consistent messaging without compromising accountability.
