We are honored and thrilled to share that we've been named one of Inc.’s 2019 Best Workplaces! With a total of 139,251 employees from many different companies around the country surveyed, the competition this year was tougher than ever. This is our second year in a row on this list, and we’re excited that our employees love coming to work every day in the supportive environment Pantheon has created.
Since 2010, Pantheon Systems has been an eclectic mix of intelligent, passionate, and hardworking people. Our founders lead by example so each employee feels empowered and inspired. To ensure we get the most talented and passionate employees out there, we’ve become an increasingly remote team with offices in Minneapolis and NYC, as well as Pantheors working throughout the globe. We needed to implement ways of extending everything that makes this a great place to work to a virtual team.
By incorporating virtual group working sessions and updating our technology with state-of-the-art video and audio equipment to accommodate more immersive online interactions, our remote employees still feel like they’re an essential part of our team every day—which they are. We also regularly fly these employees to our headquarters in San Francisco and team off-sites to get them as much in-person face time as possible.
But even with all of this, what truly ties us all together is our focus on creating a tight-knit, supportive community. The base of which is our alignment around our company’s mission, to do good in the world by democratizing the internet and growing the open source community. This alignment breeds a company culture that encourages collaboration and innovation.
To show support for every single individual in our community, we’ve made an effort to give a platform for expression to those who all too often don’t have one. For example, we partnered with Drupal Diversity & Inclusion (DDI) who are doing powerful work to lift up the voices of marginalized and under-represented people in the Drupal community, including those working for Pantheon. We're offering a $2,500 matching fund (plus marketing support!) to help DDI raise the funds needed to get this initiative off the ground.
