As Vice President of Analytics and Insights, Matt is responsible for data at Pantheon with an emphasis on using data and analytics to help the organization make better decisions.
Most recently Matt was the Director of Data Science at Transamerica where he lead a team of advanced data scientists building and deploying machine learning models to solve a wide variety of business challenges. Prior to that he was the Senior Director for Data Science Operations and Tools at Gap, Inc where he was instrumental in the development and delivery of their next generation of analytical tools and data platforms with a special focus on deployment pipelines for machine learning models as well as scaling the deployment of analytics across the enterprise.
Prior to Gap, Inc, Matt held analytics roles at two startups: Rdio and Sindeo where he helped to build analytical capabilities and drove data informed decision making. He also held management and individual contributor positions at Apple where he helped found and grow the Apple Retail Analytics team. He started his career at Freddie Mac where he focused on sales productivity, market share, and credit analytics.
