We're Striving to Make a Difference this Giving Tuesday

The social initiative, #GivingTuesday, inspires hundreds of millions of people to donate, collaborate and volunteer with nonprofits the world over. It's an opportunity to support those organizations working on the frontlines to deliver aid, education, housing, food and human connection to the people who need it most.

Fostering the spirit of generosity feels especially critical this year, as the world struggles to emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic and underrepresented communities continue their fight for liberation the world over. Whether it's supporting disadvantaged youth or advocating for a more inclusive political sphere, there are many ways you can get involved.

Giving Tuesday is designed to unleash the power of radical generosity and, while it has grown into a year-round global movement, the primary Giving Tuesday date is Tuesday, November 30.  Here are a few of the organizations that Pantheon is honored to support this Giving Tuesday.

CodeHouse Corporation

An organization that connects high schools in Atlanta with leading tech professionals, CodeHouse Corporation focuses on cultivating a strong pipeline between Black and Latinx students and industry-leading technology companies. The team at CodeHouse Corporation hopes to inspire students to get into tech with an eye toward creating a more diverse and inclusive industry.

The Act Now Coalition

The Act Now Coalition is an independent nonprofit founded by volunteers in March 2020. The interactive tool helps people make informed decisions by providing timely and accurate data about COVID in every U.S. state, 380+ metros, 3,100+ counties, and two U.S. territories.

Hustlers Guild

The Hustlers Guild is a community impact organization that serves underrepresented youth. It was founded by Yasmin Salina, Jason Spear, and Kevin Beckford, alumni of the Obama Administration, who shared similar experiences navigating the political ladder and came together to extend their expertise to empower youth leaders.

Asian Americans Advancing Justice

Founded in 1972, Asian Americans Advancing Justice supports underserved Asian American and Pacific Islander communities. The team is committed to serving the vast diversity of communities of Asian descent, and offers legal services, community organization, and policy advice in the fight for immigrant justice and equity.

Some other organizations include: Feeding America, Khan Academy, 1Life Fully Lived, and the San Francisco Foundation.

Growing Our Impact at Pantheon

At Pantheon, we are working to expand our workplace philanthropy efforts and we strive to  connect our employees with causes they care about. Using Bright Funds, an all-in-one Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) platform, Pantheon matches employee donations up to $500 per employee per fiscal year. This, along with time off for employee volunteering, is leading to some incredible results:

  • $43,195.98 donated from all giving and volunteering programs

  • 30.5 volunteer hours recorded

  • $22,897.08 donated by employees

  • $20,298.90 generated through matching gifts

  • 190 organizations have received contributions

As our employees strive to reach Pantheon's Giving Tuesday donation goals, we also urge you to get involved and give back. Whether it's donating to your favorite charity, being present for someone in need, lending a helping hand, or putting a smile on someone’s face, we hope you're inspired to make a difference this holiday season.
